To celebrate the launch of the fifth issue of inc. magazine – a poetry and illustration zine based in Hackney – we’re throwing another one of our Time Out and Guardian recommended poetical parties. Last time we packed out a sweaty basement in East London in what can only be described as a poetry rave. This time it’s going to be even bigger and better (though hopefully not as sweaty…)

This issue is The Postcard Issue, featuring a collection of poems written from the most unlikely of places, by poets such as Hollie McNish, Raymond Antrobus, Angry Sam and many many more. Illustrations come courtesy of the fantastic Sister Arrow, Tom Edwards and Lorna Scobie as well as plenty of other talented artists.

Get down at 7pm sharp to check out the live illustration and write your own postcard poem while DJ Vinyl Matt spins some tunes!

£5 entry includes your very own copy of issue #5 fresh off the presh!

SOAS Detainee Support presents…

The Release Team invite fresh faces and old souls down to Jamm to offer another exciting line up. On their last visit to the venue in October, they took the roof off with an array of brilliant live bands and DJs and this party will be no different.

With all proceeds go to supporting asylum seekers and refugees, get involved, hit the dance floor and know you are partying for all the right reason!

“Fur - Fur E.P.
Rock solid E.P. of live HipHop greatness that brings to mind the first Roots album and Breakestra but Fur have the knack of making the live hiphop sound their own…In amongst that funk percussion and groove-laden instrumentation we have snatches of dub echo, breaks and some fantastic vocals (as well as flows)…Very limited and recommended too! Snap this up fast!” JUMBO RECORDS
